More than a competition, SoulArt Dance Battle is a platform dedicated to Hip Hop culture, authentic expression and community.
Created in Athens in 2021, it was built to give Hip Hop dancers a space of their own—a space where the music is respected, originality is encouraged, and people from different backgrounds can meet through movement.
Here, dancers are not only invited to compete.
They are invited to be present.
To listen.
To take risks.
To express who they truly are.

WHY SOULART DANCE BATTLE EXISTS
Every meaningful project begins by responding to something that is missing.
SoulArt Dance Battle was born in 2021 from a simple realization:
Although Hip Hop had a passionate and talented community in Athens, it didn’t have a platform dedicated entirely to its culture, values and identity.
Most competitions at the time brought different dance styles together under the same format. While these events created valuable opportunities, there was still no space built specifically for Hip Hop dancers—a place where the music, the foundations, the history and the philosophy of Hip Hop stood at the center.
We believed that Hip Hop deserved more than a category. It deserved a home.
A place where dancers could challenge one another while honoring the culture that brought them together.
A place where originality would always matter more than imitation.
Where presence would be valued over performance. Where every person, regardless of nationality, race, gender or background, could enter the cypher knowing they belonged.
From the beginning, SoulArt Dance Battle was never created simply to organize another event. It was created to build a community. A community where battles become conversations, competition becomes growth, and every edition strengthens the relationships that continue long after the music stops.
For us, every battle is an opportunity to preserve Hip Hop culture while creating space for its future.
Because when people feel safe enough to express who they truly are, dance becomes more than movement.
